Broad-Range Tracking System
Powered by Soltec’s algorithms, Flotus uses its central water tank with the help of bilge pumps to roll the structure in search of the optimal position towards the sun.
- Tracking increases yield 15 to 25% Vs fixed tilt
- Extended production hours: more energy where it is more expensive
- 60º East-West traking system
- Astronomical + Diffuse booster algorithms
Low Enviromental Impact
Unlike existing FPV solutions, Flotus is meant to be deployed in rows separated by a pitch in order to prevent shades. This, along with the tracking motion itself, ensures that the sunlight penetrates to a significant extent into the water across the floating power plant.
- Pitch between rows 4.8 m
- Ground Coverage Ratio: 40%
- Backtracking algorithms by Soltec.
- Structure made of non pollutant materials (HDPE UV resistant)
Robust Floating Structure
Flotus is designed to resist harsh wind and wave conditions that can occur on inland water surfaces thanks to its nautical structure and low center of gravity.
One year of data collection
We have a complete test facility where we compare floating fixed installations, ground-based solar trackers, and Flotus.
We have appeared in the following media:
